Quels 5 jours intenses!! Incroyable voyage à Washington DC où on est allés dans 5 musées, 5 memorials, le Washington monument, on s’est fait interviewé par la BBC, on a pu allé aux magasins d’enfance des enfants, un bon burger à Five Guys, et on a pu voir nos bons amis Sima et Bassel 😍😍

C’est parti! Je me lance! Je prends maintenant pas mal d’ énergie vers une nouvelle aventure: l’Atelier La Baleine. Pour l’instant, je crée surtout des cartes 3D en bois et objets personnalisés. Le luminaire me tente pour la suite mais chaque chose en son temps. J’espère que vous aimerez et si oui, que vous partagerez!

What a beautiful birthday day. Thanks all for your nice messages from all over the 🌎. Although we settled, the day was very similar to a party day on the boat: long family time, a long hike, spotting wild animals (yesterday it was a seal), nice meals, and time in the water (we went surfing in the evening). I feel very VERY lucky.

15 years ago, we were celebrating our love with all our friends and family… Since then, we’ve moved quite a bit, had 3 kids, and you know the rest. It is now time for an other chapter of our lives where you will see us more dressed 😜. Btw, can you tell Naomie wants a dog??

It’s been a while and things have been happening

It’s been a while and things have been happening. Coming back to land has been… how could I say… quite a change from our boat life. The pandemic wasn’t over, and meeting a class of kids in masks hasn’t been the easiest for the monkeys, but they all adapted pretty well. As expected, sitting all day long and boredom have been the biggest challenges. On our side, dealing with a tone of ill-thought administrative documents to move into a new country has been annoying, but necessary. Mike’s job is moving along well. Having meetings and an alarm clock is… different… But settling in feels really good. We just signed to buy a house in Guidel, Bretagne, France. We will have the keys beginning of July. Meanwhile, that is also where the kids go to school. We signed Bastien up for soccer. He will start his first practice on Monday. He is so excited. Noah and Naomie are happy to have some free alone and calm time after school. They are not used to the noise and social games at school yet.
My role is still to make sure my little tribe is adapting well, and that we settle happily. I also seek how to contribute to the community around us. The environment and the planet are more and more on my mind for a job direction. And meanwhile, I sit and watch with anxiety and sadness what is going on to the East. I keep inform to see how to help. That is our life now, still close to the wild and calming ocean. Big hugs to all ❤️
