Video, Episode 9: Victoria BC to South Pender Island

On July 16th, after a great visit in Victoria BC, we raised the anchor in the early morning to continue Northbound to the Gulf Islands. Our first stop: Poets Cove on South Pender Island

(https://www.google.com/maps/@48.7532545,-123.2356227,16z). The easy and windless passage gave us the opportunity to get some drone footage. We anchored in 15m of water, next to the shore of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. In the afternoon, we explored the island and hiked to the Mortimer Spit Park on the Northwest tip of the island. The 10°C water is still too cold for our Caribbean-primed skins, but the calling is getting stronger.
